It’s been a strange week in London and the girls from Warpaint have been accompanying me on my ipod on my daily walks. Their sound seems to suit the mood. Aussie drummer - a good thing.
As much as I love them I hope I’ll be back listening to something a little lighthearted soon…
I love ths lookbook for Willow’s latest collection. The model is thin, of course, but has a wonderful amazonian quality and tits’n'arse so to speak. Long may this continue… And there’s not a piece in the collection I’d not wear. Is it available in the UK?
and remembered that she was also on the Selby with this great array of shoes on painted white floors.
This shot has been living in my “white floors” image folder, which sits between my “black floors” folder and my “natural floors” folder. Which will win??? Today white is in front by a whisker…
I wish I looked like Jen in tight jeans and those boots. Instead I’m sitting in an XXL Hamnet slogan tee over leggings watching Nollywood shorts on Youtube.
Really enjoyed seeing these William English photographs exhibited at Maggs last week. William took several photographs of Vivienne Westwood in the Sex shop in early 1975 when he was a budding film student, eager to get into a London school. The idea backfired when he produced the portfolio, as the entrance examiners assumed he was only interested in making pornography.
Is this really Alice Cooper looking kind of wholesome and Californian? Yes it is, and I have a new pin-up boy.
When I was a kid I thought Alice Cooper was British, but I guess I had him mixed up with Ozzy Osbourne. I’m sure that’s a cardinal sin for hard rock fans but I was in the deepest darkest recesses of Australia and I was ten so sue me. Those teeth seal the deal for me. Very un-British.
He and the band were signed by Frank Zappa after showing up to play at his house at 7 in the morning, and apparently their early onstage look was developed by hanging out with the GTOs and dressing up “like life sized Barbie dolls”.
This clip has been entertaining me for a few weeks: because me and Mr G have been dancing it up when we get back from an evening out, and also because it has Erin Wasson on lead guitar. No just kidding but it’s such a stud-silver-lycra fest - love it!!!!
