Needlepoint

Thursday, January 27th, 2011

The obsession grows, but not quite to £80. I am still stitching a back on to a needlepoint sampler I bought some time ago…so this one must pass.

Navajo needlepoint, green with a hint of red. I hope this finds a good home.

Business cards

Monday, June 8th, 2009

When I was travelling I carried a little card to give people that I had met and wanted to keep in contact with. It had a background of a photograph of I took in Bali - the tops of buildings, power lines, palms and sky, and my email address in white in the top right-hand corner. Being a young lady on my own, I didn’t want to put my phone number or address, and according to how much I liked the person I’d fill in my details and a message on the back.

I love the idea of social cards that require filling in. Gonna get me some more.

Amateur radio operator post cards.

Russian Puh

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

Vinni Puh is the Russian version of Winnie the Pooh. Except that he’s a Russian bear, not a teddy, and Christopher Robin is nowhere to be seen.

Listen to the Radio 4 programme to hear the whole story. If you can get through the first fifteen minutes without being incredibly irritated by Michael Rosen the dividends pay off.

Or just watch it here. A delight.
