Funny how helene gailet shopped in brooks brothers for 7 dollar shirts...making tips like that pretty much obsolete now. but in the next few pages was the chapter about classics...which has many good tips because although classics are more expensive than trends they withstand the test of time...saving you money in the long run. many of those people, artists, designers are gone now. Rudi Gernreich a huge gay activist back then was the inventer of the monokini! I loved this book so much and mine was lost when i lost many things through the years I had o flag one down on ebay a few years ago. glad to have found someone else who enjoys this book. :-) i adored this book as a young girl in nyc. i shopped many of those places listed as resources in ny.
