Sunday afternoon bake-off

Sunday, February 8th, 2009

It’s cold, Mr G is listening to Tom Waits upstairs, and I’m going to bake a cake to eat in an hour or so with a pot of tea.

If it’s any good I’ll take a photo.

Looking out my back door

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

I spoke to my bro in Australia today as it’s his birthday. He was sitting on the verandah about to have a beer and it was about 30 degrees celsius. I was chatting to him gazing out our back window at about a foot of snow and counting. Eight years of living here and it still freaks me out.

I’m deep in 1970 at the moment. Hence the Creedence. They have a special place in our family history and mythology so this is for my sister who loves John Fogarty and who I know reads this blog every day.

Two words about John: gap teeth.
